What is the UFPAC?

The UFPAC is the United Federation of Planets Awards Ceremony.


The event is held roughly every 3 months and awards members with rank advancements, medal achievements and other potential rewards. It is also used as an opportunity to announce important events or discussions within the UFP and allows members at the end of the event to have the floor should they wish to bring any subject forward with the fleet and/or the present members of Starfleet Command.


It will be presented by a member of Starfleet Command and usually lasts for between an hour and a half and two hours, by recent standards.

The UFPAC is a process that starts several weeks before the event takes place. A member of the SFC or UFPAC planning committee, usually the one managing the event, will order all COs and XOs to jointly submit recommendations on their direct subordinates to the SFC by a deadline.


These recommendations are then reviewed by the SFC, usually a formality procedure, and then the SFC's own recommendations are added before a final list is compiled.


Ordinarily a script is written in advance of the event so that the procedure will flow smoothly. The UFPAC may be presented, visually, orally or via text. For more information consult other areas of this forum, or feel free to ask questions here.

 

When is the UFPAC?

The UFPAC takes place roughly every quarter year, or 3 months. This gives officers and enlisted personnel time to demonstrate skills and activity within the fleet and time for their COs and XOs to recognise these achievements.

Where to go for the UFPAC

The UFPAC will always be held in the {UFP}'s official chat room, located at http://chat.ufplanets.com. Once there, navigate to the UFPAC Events Room where everyone else will be gathering for the event.

Recently the {UFP} has been dabbling in performing these ceremonies through a live stream. Depending on circumstances the awards may be presented visually and orally, purely orally, or by text. If there is a visual or oral presentation of any kind, it will be played at http://ufpac.ufplanets.com.

We suggest you open two Browser Windows and have them run next to each other for best viewing and inclusion in the event.

Don't worry, transcripts are kept, or in the event of a live stream, a complete summary is made in the UFPAC Transcripts forum. There is also the possibility of a recording of the event being uploaded for anyone to watch after ward.

Be sure to check it within a few hours/days of the event.
